Kahana, Aharon
(1904-67)
   Israeli painter and ceramic artist. He was born in Stuttgart and lived in Berlin and Paris before settling in Palestine in 1934. In 1947-8 he was a founder member of the New Horizons group of artists. Initially his work was influenced by biblical themes, but later his painting became more abstract. Subsequently he returned to figurative painting.
